Reading Community and Community Reading: Participatory Research on Agricultural System and Landuse in Mollo, Timor Tengah Selatan

. This paper is the first of a two-part serialized article in this issue. The first part entitled “Reading Community and Community Reading: The Study of Social and Cultural System of Mollo in South Central Timor” regarding the oral history of the formation of the villages (kuan) and the various systems that set the pattern of social life in the communities, such as kinship systems, marriage and inheritance patterns, as well as ownership and land use systems . This part presents further explanation regarding land management in relation to food production.
