Low-cost chemical experiments: a contribution from the microscaleKeywords: experimentos químicos , química a microescala , ense anza de la química , chemistry experiments , chemistry in micro scale , chemistry teaching Abstract: Experimental activities in laboratories are an important part in teaching and learning Chemistry. However, its implementation can normally be affected by a lack of materials, instruments, reagents price and the risks related to non-proper manipulation among many other factors. Therefore, in order to give better chances to implement experimental activities in teaching Chemistry and diminishing before mentioned problems, this work proposes a series of experiments that use easy-to-get, low cost and daily-used materials. According to the authors criteria, the student′s closeness to Chemistry using simple experimental activities, which are designed under a context of innovation and micro scale, is a contribution to Chemistry teaching.
