A Kaleidoscopic of views on Chagas. An educational experience in the Museo de La Plata

We present the results and reflections on an experience called "A Week of Chagas in the Museo de La Plata" (La Plata, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina) in May 2011. The proposal was aimed at spreading awareness of the problem of Chagas disease from a comprehensive perspective. Activities included samples of works of art, innovative audio-visual projections, workshops with students from primary and secondary schools from the area, open lectures by specialists, presentation and distribution of educational materials to school teachers, and the development of activities for the general public. The evaluation of the experience is highly satisfactory and the reflection, during the organizing and implementation, became such a learning experience for both the participants and organizers that it led to a mutual interest in sharing of the proposal and the possibility of adapting it into other contexts.
