Epidemiological Study Of Zoonotic Tuberculosis Complex (ZTBC)

Emerging infectious diseases, most of which are considered zoonotic in origin, continue to exact a significant toll on society. Zoonotic tuberculosis (ZTB) (caused by Mycobacterium bovis) is present in animals in most developing countries where surveillance and control activities are often inadequate or unavailable; therefore, many epidemiologic and public health aspects of infection remain largely unknown. We review available information on ZTB globally.
