Abstract:

Life on Earth completely depends on solar radiation, the ultimate source of energy for natural processes. The energy transfer from the sun to the atmosphere is one of the primary drivers of the weather. Earth climate is strongly affected by the amount of solar radiation emitted by sun changes with solar activity. The amount of energy the sun puts out varies over an 11 year cycle, but that cycle changes the total amount of energy reaching the Earth only about 0.1 percent. An increasing number of studies indicate that variation in solar activity have had significant effect on Earth’s climate. The temporal variation in the solar activity displays a similarity to that of the mean temperature of the Earth. For the last two decades our Earth received slightly high energy from the sun. Therefore Earth’s average temperature has increased by approximately by 0.6 oC . The solar activity on the Sun’s surface is also increased for the last four solar cycles. This study enumerates the influence of the solar activity on the surface temperature of the Earth, particularly in Northern Hemisphere, Southern Hemisphere, Global, and Tropical region temperature. In this work the mean temperature data of 130 years and sunspots data were taken into account. From the correlative and regression analysis we have found the results that there is a strong connection between solar maximum of solar cycle and Earth’s temperature.
