Survey of Diversity and Population Changes of Birds in Parks and Green Spaces of Ahwaz ,Khuzestan Province, Iran in Winter 2010

The birds of Ahwaz parks and green spaces (48 parks and green spaces)were identified in winter 2010.We show that there were 58 species of birds in the all of parks and green spaces, in 23 families. The greatest number of species was in March with 42 species and the least number of species was in January with 38 species. Family of Turdidae and Fringillidae have greatest number of species with six species, and after that family of Alaudidae with 5 species was in second rank. Dolat Park with 36 species had the greatest number of speices and Shahrvand Park with 11 species had the least diversity of species, the East Coast Park with 541 individuals has the maximum number of birds. Highest Richness index (Margalef=6.07)and species diversity (Shannon-Wiener=3.782) observed in Dolat Park and also highest evenness index(Simpson= 0.565)observed in Shahrvand Park.
