La actual política exterior de la Federación rusa: una mirada desde el realismo político

The intention of this paper is to explain the new tension stages which have emerged related to the links of Russia with the USA, EU and the NATO. Nowadays the Russian foreign policy takes into account the political realism particularly in their relationships with the USA. Russia has been strengthening as a great power because of the maintaining of oil and gas' high prices during the last years and the production of new weapons and military technology. Hence, Russia attempts to recover its position as a great power in the world, not only in a bipolar world but in a multipolar one. The opened divergences with regard to the interests and objectives of the Russian and American governments in terms of the European and global security policy complicate in a more remarkable way the peace stage and the prevention of future conflicts not only in the European continent, but also in all over the world.
