A New Approach for Synchronization, Analysis and Management of Multimedia Scenarios

The present study propose an approach to multimedia scenarios management in an object-relational database system that considers: an object-oriented method for multimedia scenarios modeling; time-interval and causal relations models for the specification of multimedia objects with fixed or unknown playout durations; interactive relations and dependency temporal relations. Based on the user`s temporal specification, a time Petri net is automatically generated and translated to the formalism of the verification tool Tina, which allows to analyse multimedia scenarios specification. Finally, the present study evaluate the approach with an experimental system prototype.
