The Study of General Computer Literacy among the Employees of the Islamic Azad Universities of Mazandaran Province

The purpose of the research was to study the general computer literacy among the employees in areas of principles of computer, of Internet, Power point, Excel, Access and Word in the Islamic Azad Universities of Mazandaran province. From objective point of view, it was an applied research. The statistical population composed of all the employees of Islamic Azad Universities of Mazandaran including 1530 employees. The rate of the sample was determined using Krejcie and Morgan table and 300 employees were selected as a sample through clustering random sampling method. A research- made questionnaire was used for collecting data.The content validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by related experts and its reliability was calculated through Cronbach Alpha (0/78).The gathered data were examined by utilizing the single-group t test and multi-variable regression test. The results generally showed that the amount of general computer literacy was lower than average in the employees of Islamic Azad Universities of Mazandaran province. The results of regression analysis showed that all seven subgroups of general computer literacy were significant predictors for computer literacy.
