Judicial Settlement of Disputes between States at the International Level - The International Court of Justice

The Preamble of the UN Charter reaffirms the determination ofthe Member States to establish conditions under which justice and respect for the obligations arising from treaties and other sources of international law can be maintained. According to the UNCharter the main judicial organ is the International Court of Justice. The conception of the International Court of Justice was the effect of the huge effort of finding a pacific settlement of international disagreements.
