El presente trabajo analiza la posición de la mujer en la sociedad hebrea, respecto a la maternidad. Se trabaja el texto bíblico como marco descriptivo y normativo de la situación y se relacionan datos provenientes del campo arqueológico respecto a la composición familiar. El fin es se alar el rol de la mujer hebrea, madre por imposición divina, reglada por el texto bíblico. The purpose of this paper is examining the role of women in the Hebrew society, in relation with motherhood. Biblical texts are approached as a descriptive and normative frame, and they are related with archaeological information concerning family composition. The objective is show the reproductive role of the Hebrew woman as mothers by divine imposition, ruled by biblical texts.
