Abstract:

Based on the transformative theory of leadership, the present research examines the predictive value of the process of Leadership on organisational citizenship behaviour, counterproductive work behaviour, and the performance of supervisors as it is perceived by subordinates. 138 subordinates form different organisations participated in this study. The participants were asked to complete several questionnaires: MLQ (Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire), OCBS (Organizational Citizenship Behaviour Scale), and IODS (Interpersonal and Organizational Deviance Scale). The results indicate that leadership style predicts organizational citizenship behaviour and counterproductive work behaviour. Furthermore, leadership style was related to the performance, extra-effort, and satisfaction with supervisor. The results support those of other researches in this field.
