The survey of alternative types of ship power installations

Alternative types of ship power installations are described in the paper. They allow to carry out the requirements on toxicity restriction of exhaust gases and to reduce fuel consumption (anaerobic power installations, engines of Stir-ling, etc.). The authors of the paper consider that these types of ship power instal-lations are the most perspective for further research and, probably, for subse-quent commercial application.
