Poesia e poder – O trovadorismo ibérico no século XIII e a poesia satírica

In the XIII century, in the kingdoms of Portugal and Castela, there was an extremely interesting troubadour’s movement in witch one the poetry was expressed in the galego-portuguese language. The subject of this article will be to discuss the relations between Poetry and Power, examining the social tensions of the medieval Iberian society among these troubadours practice and poetry. After an initial discussion about the possibilities of understands the relations of power in the medieval poetry, it is presented the circulation and dissemination of the troubadour’s poetry in the ambient of the medieval Iberian courts. The principal objective of the text is to discuss the social and political relations involved in the troubadour’s chants.
