Wear analysis of polycaprolactam bushings of deadwood bearings of the propeller shaft

Wears of polycaprolactam shells of deadwood bearings, taken from vessels during their repair, are investigated in the paper. Wears of 12 bushings are measured. The results of these wear measurements are processed by means of the least-squares method. Analytical dependences of wears value on the length of the bushings are received. It is marked out that the wear pattern can not be explained only in terms of static loading.
