Calculation and analytical method for determining internal losses in ship internal combustion engineKeywords: diesel , power , linear speed , gas pressure , friction , pumping loss , bar Abstract: An analytical calculation of mechanical losses in the piston-cylinder-group, the calculation of power losses due to the friction in the bearings of the crankshaft, pumping losses, losses of the drive units and support mechanisms are considered at different speed modes. The dependence of the friction power on the line speed and gas pressure in the cylinder is graphically shown, as well as the linear velocity of the piston on the gas pressure in the cylinder. Total power losses due to the friction in theinternal combustion engine of the diesel 2CH 9.5/11 are calculated. An experimental method of their verification is offered.
