Choice of basic performance criteria of promising high-powered low-sized ship engines

The analysis of performance criteria of high-powered low-sized ship engines of the Russian and foreign manufacture is given in the paper. Advantages of the application of the uprating method of low-sized ship engines on the frequency of crankshaft rotation are shown.
