Analysis of the operation of the electric motor drive of pillars pulling out from the self-elevating offshore drilling platform at feeding from the industrial network

An operation possibility of the electric motor drive of pillars pulling out from the offshore drilling platform at different modes of feeding from the industrial network, with voltage and frequency different from nominal values of motors, is analysed in the paper. The experiment is organized in order to determine operation parameters of the isochronous motor in the brake mode at non-nominal parameters of the network. The results are presented in tabular and graphic forms. Practical recommendations are offered on the realization of the motor operation in these specific conditions.
