Enhancement of operational properties of ship diesel engines by means of thermal insulation of components of the working cylinder

An example of the task solution improving operational properties of ship diesel engines by means of thermal insulation of components of the working cylinder, and in particular the cylinder sleeve, is considered in the paper. The methodology for calculating the parameters of thermal insulation and an example of specific technical solutions are shown.
