Abstract: The creation of a floating dock design under the requirements to the general strength and stability at the general longitudinal bending is the ultimate problem of designing, especially for floating docks with a great load-carrying capacity. A mathematical model and a realisation algorithm of the designing procedure of the hull’s longitudinal components, showing the efficiency of the application of search procedures are considered in the paper. The theory of planning an experiment is reasonably used in order to solve such a complex problem of choosing an optimal composition of multicomponent systems.
