Mathematical modeling of heat and mass transfer from spray drying of plant extracts

Abstract:

The results of experimental and analytical studies of the drying process of herbal extracts in a dispersed state are presented. A mathematical model of heat and mass transfer in spray drying of plant extracts is designed, and specific temperature ranges are fixed for industrial organization of the production of dry plant extracts. Subsequent theoretical and experimental studies of the set of physical and chemical characteristics of the processing facilities will give recommendations for the rational designing of the dryer structure and for optimal organization of technological processes. The mathematical model of heat and mass transfer is necessary for the operational management of the dewatering process. The experimental studies of vegetable products get further development. The obtained results are used to create drying systems for a wide range of products, with the possibility of varying the operating modes depending on the type of raw material.
