Application of program complexes for modernization of absorber distribution device of gas treating by means of the finite element method

Abstract:

Program complexes based on the finite element method are capable to make a wide range of technological and mechanical calculations of difficult geometry objects. The results of the modeling give a full representation about the state and processes occurring in the equipment, allowing to precisely predict the results of the undertaken changes of the equipment. Distribution devices of crude separated gas input have been improved as the result of sequential hydrodynamic calculations, and in accordance with the exactly formed logic scheme. The optimum rotation angle of a feeder is a 15o corner relative to the vertical line, to the center of the absorber. At this rotation angle the lowest gas speed (0.287 km/s) is observed in areas with the highest speed of corrosion. The calculation executed in Flow Simulation has a number of lacks, as well as any computer model; the calculation scheme has undergone a number of simplifications and has some program restrictions. Despite this, the chosen model meets all geometrical requirements and as much as possible considers all initial data and parameters of gas treating processes.
