Selectivity estimation based on fisheries management using beach seines

The characteristic of the selectivity of fishing gear is given by the example of fishing using beach seines. The indicators necessary to assessment of the effectiveness of selective fishing using beach seines are identified. The methods of solving the problems of selectivity with the use of mathematical models to estimation of the selective properties of beach seines are considered.
