Small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma of the sinonasal regionKeywords: carcinoid tumor , small cells , neuroendocrine carcinoma , paranasal sinuses , treatment. Abstract: Malignant tumours of nose and paranasal sinuses are rare, accounting for less than 1% of all malignancies and approximately 3% of those arising in the head and neck. Small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma of the sinonasal region is an epithelial high grade carcinoma resembling malignancies of pulmonary origin, with a very aggressive clinical course that often recurs after treatment. Here, we report a case of a postirradiated tumour located in the posterior ethmoid sinus, with the current management and treatment.
