Survey on the infant hearing program after 5 years of its implementation universal in Castilla y León, Spain

After a five-year development of a program for universal newborn hearing screening via AABR in the Community of Castilla y León, we present the specific characteristics of its application. By means of a questionnaire to which the 14 Program coordinators replied, we have been able to specify the measures adopted and the difficulties found in each hospital centre in carrying out with efficacy the various aspects of the process of screening, diagnosis and intervention in congenital hearing loss.
