Visions or hallucinations? Brazil in romantic poetry Vis es ou alucina es? O Brasil na poesia romantica

This essay has as primary objective to present some of Brazil’s different representations in our Literature during the period in which Romanticism prevailed in our poetry. It also theorizes on the causes of changes in the different ways of representing the motherland by the poets of that period. Este ensaio tem como objetivo, em um primeiro momento, a exposi o de algumas das diversas representa es de Brasil nas nossas Letras durante o período no qual o Romantismo vigorou na nossa poesia, para, após essa exposi o, teorizar sobre as causas das mudan as na forma de representar a pátria-m e adotadas pelos poetas desse período.
