A simplified model of the process of medical attention. Assistance, educational and investigative implications Un modelo simplificado del proceso de atención médica. Implicaciones asistenciales, docentes e investigativas

The process of medical attention constitutes a learning object for the student of Medicine. In this article a simplified model is proposed or general of the process of medical attention whose employment possesses assistance, educational and investigative implications; elaborated on the base of the address of the mental activity that the doctor develops during the execution of the process. Starting from this idea we identify three moments or phases like components of the pattern: 1) the obtaining of information, 2) the interpretation of the information, and 3) the taking of decisions; each one of which possesses a specific objective in function of the general objective of the process, besides other particularities. The property of generality of the elaborated pattern is identified, as well as its limitations. El proceso de atención médica constituye objeto de aprendizaje para el estudiante de Medicina. En este artículo se propone un modelo simplificado o general del proceso de atención médica cuyo empleo posee implicaciones asistenciales, docentes e investigativas. Este modelo está elaborado sobre la base de la dirección de la actividad mental que desarrolla el médico durante la ejecución del proceso de atención médica. A partir de esta idea se identifican tres momentos o fases como componentes del modelo: 1) la obtención de información, 2) la interpretación de la información y 3) la toma de decisiones. Cada uno de los cuales posee un objetivo específico en función del objetivo general del proceso, además de otras particularidades. Está identificada la propiedad de generalidad del modelo elaborado, así como sus limitaciones.
