CIRCULATING DISCOURSES AND SOCIAL CONSTRUCTION OF COMPANY IN AN ORGANIZATION OF THE COLOMBIAN FLOWER SECTOR

The work presented here was aimed to describe the discourses circulating in a flower plantation inBogotá, Colombia, and the work practices associated to them. A qualitative approach with an ethnographicmethodology was used. Discourse analysis with the methodology developed by Potter & Wetherell(1996) was applied aimed to identify the interpretive repertoires. The analytical exercise about the repertoireswas cantered in exposing subject's positioning and the social function of these repertoires. In thisway, 4 big grouping categories were found for 11 repertoires. Results are finally studied in light of acritical discussion including a review about the problem of the economic globalization and its impact oncontemporary work practices and discourses.
