HEAVY PRECIPITATION IN THE F G RA MOUNTAINS, 1-4 JUNE, 1988

The heavy precipitation recorded in the ranges and sub-ranges of the F g ra Mountains between June 1–4, 1988 can be classified as extreme weather events. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the meteorological context in which these phenomena occurred. Classical methods of meteorological analysis were employed: the evolution of key meteorological parameters over the territory of our country, the barometric topographic maps from ground level and altitude, that were taken from the archives of the National Administration of Meteorology, and the GFS model (www.wetter3.de).
