Historia jurídica del incendio en la Edad Antigua y en el ordenamiento medieval castellano: Implicaciones urbanísticas y medioambientales Legal History of Fire in Ancient Times and in the Medieval Castilian Legislation: Urban and Environmental Implications

Exposición sucinta de la historia jurídica del incendio desde un punto de vista medioambiental y urbanístico, donde se traen a colación las principales fuentes que lo regulan en el mundo antiguo (desde el "Código de Hammurabi" hasta el Liber Iudiciorum) hasta llegar a los textos medievales castellanos (se analizan un importante número de fuentes locales y territoriales), todo ello sin olvidar los fundamentos de protección del entorno contenidos en el Antiguo Testamento y en el Corán. This paper will briefly set forth the legal history of fires from an environmental and urban stand point, where the main sources that regulate it in the Ancient world (from the "Hammurabi Code" to the Liber Iudiciorum) until the Castilian Medieval texts (a significant number of local and territorial sources are analyzed) are brought forward. The foregoing will be developed always keeping in mind the basis for the environment protection included in the Old Testament and in the Koran.
