ASSESSMENT OF SATISFACTION WITH AUTO-BODY IMAGE AND ATTENDANCE OF FOOD DISORDERS AMONG ADOLESCENT STUDENTS OFBOTH SEXESKeywords: Body image , Adolescence , Eating Disorders Abstract: This study aimed to assess satisfaction with body image in adolescents in the state of Rondonia, aged 12 (twelve) and 18 (eighteen) years and belonging to the public schools ofthe city of Ji- Parana. The adolescent participants were submitted to the questionnaires BSQ (Body Shape Questionnaire) and the EAT-26 (Eating Attitudes Test) and anthropometric measurements through the standardization of ISAK, in order to obtain their Body Mass Index(BMI). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, expressed as percentage using the Excel 2007 program. The second study revealed the analysis of the BSQ presence of excessive preoccupation with the body in both groups but more prevalent among female adolescents. In the analysis of the EAT-26 was also possible to detect the presence of eating disorders among adolescents of both genders, with lower prevalence in males. When made a comparative analysis of positive results in two simultaneous instruments applied to the BMI,it can be seen that the indices fall within the normal limits, yet we found dissatisfaction in most adolescents evaluated in this study, it can be inferred that the concern is through a purelyaesthetic.
