The original long vowels in the Turkish language have systematically been presserved in Yakut and Türkmen Turkish. n historical texts, the primary long vowels, which could not be regularly followed up due to the reasons stemming from the alphabet used and non-standart ortographic traditions, have generally been shortened to date.The long vowels which could not be regularly preserved and hence shortened have left various phonetic remains. The phonetic developments such as sonorisation, vowel widening adventitious sound and germination, encountered in Turkey Turkish and other dialects, have been arisen mostly from the shortened primary long vowels.The long vowel i, in the main Turkish, has been widened in the way of i> >e in Turkey Turkish. Along with primary long vowels, occlusive-unvoiced consonants p, , t, k have mostly been sonorised and turned into b, c, d, g. Therefore vowel widening, sonorisation, and consonant derivation in a few examples are among the main primary vowel signs in the Turkey Turkish.
