AL ZEK BEY; A FORGOTTEN NAME N OUR HISTORY OF LITERATURE, AND A REVIEW OF ORTHOGRAPHY / EDEB YAT TAR H M Z N UNUTTU U B R S M: AL ZEK BEY ve B R ML ELE T R SKeywords: Ali Zeki Bey , The novel Alev , orthography , Dergah Mecmuas Abstract: Ali Zeki Bey, who has not seen in the history of literature, was an artist who wrote novels, poems and plays in addition to working as a journalist and translator. His novel, titled Alev, was given interest by his contemporary critics, and some reviews appeared on it. One of the reviews, belonged to Ahmet Ha im, included some critiques related to the novel’s title and the orthography of some words, and, on the other hand, Nurullah Ata responded him. In this study, it was aimed to introduce Ali Zeki Bey in the aspect of the review by Abdulhak inasi that gave information on Ali Zeki Bey’s works and the critiques on him in Dergah Mecmuas .
