The best-known hilye inTurkish literature, Hilye-i Hakan , was written by Hakan Mehmet Bey in 16thcentury. One of the nazires written in this hilye belongs to Hakim SeyyidMehmed who was an 8th century poet. This nazire is usually regarded as one ofthe best in Hilye-i Hakan .
