Karachay-Malkar Turks who carried oral literature tradition until the end of 19 th century, written literary works in real sense started with Kazim M ü’s poems including religious and social content in 1880’s. There is a very close relation between poet’s works and history, culture and social life of Karachay-Malkar Turks. Kazim M ü even draws a picture of a people by reflecting the historical events and social life of the period in which he lived.
