Fortuna y lidia en el ordenamiento jurídico castellano medieval Fortune and Bullfighting in the Medieval Castilian Legal System

Exposición sucinta de la historia jurídica de ciertas actividades hoy relacionadas con el ocio y en la que, partiendo de la distinción entre festejos públicos y juegos y entretenimientos privados, se trata de incardinar y caracterizar, por un lado, los juegos más habituales de la época y, por otro, los espectáculos con presencia de toros. A lo largo del texto se traen a colación y se analizan desde diferentes ópticas, algunas de las principales fuentes que regulan las mencionadas actividades en el mundo antiguo (desde el Código de Hammurabi hasta el Liber Iudiciorum) y en el ordenamiento jurídico medieval castellano, al tiempo que se plasman las ideas del polígrafo Francesc Eiximenis sobre el particular. A concise exposition of the juridical history of some activities that nowadays are related to leisure, which, starting from the distinction between public celebrations and games of chance and private entertainment, attempts to link and characterize, on one hand, the most popular games of that time and, on the other, the shows with the presence of bulls. Through the text, some of the main sources that regulate said activities in the ancient world (from the Code of Hammurabi to the Liber Iudiciorum) and the Medieval Castilian legal system are brought up and analyzed from different standpoints and, at the same time, the ideas of polygraph Francesc Eiximenis on this subject are stated.
