We have a lot of works of art written for advising. These works of art called as “nasihat-name” are the values that aim to enlighten people and statesmen in morals, to regulate social behaviors and to make them virtuous. They are written in verse miscellaneous or in both. Pend-name by Güvah caries these characteristics, too. Proverbs forms almost one third of the whole script. Pend-name by Güvah written in 16th century is an art work of verse. This work is among the ones that included proverbs much more than the others. One third of the work is composed of proverbs and idioms.
