Sezai Karako is among the most prominent poets of the Republican era. He took an important place not only through his poems but also with the envision of civilization he set forth in the history of Turkish thought. Geography is among the subjects Karako emphasized on in the envision of civilization. The poet dwells on the geography of the entire world in his poems as well as intellectuals articles and carries these geographies to his essays and poems centering around some matters. However, the geography he pays attention to is, rather than being a natural object, a historical, cultural whole wrapped itself with an identity of civilization. In this study, we will do geography-oriented readings by examining how he places geography in his essays and poems, the importance of geography in his biography and how it is handled in his poems.way geography was dealt in his poems will be examined, occasionally we will do geography centered readings.
