Abstract: Being based on thousand and one night stories at the point of the topic and frequently including unreal elements, Kermanshah tale is the one of our both heroism and love based folk tales. In this work, Campbell's Hero's Journey Monomyth systematized with “separation / departure, initiation, return” model of adventure folk tale applied on Kermanshah with Beh et Mahir’s narration. Kermanshah’s enlightenment, self-realization and his adventures on his way to return to the folk he left after finding himself, his breaking of the chain of the trials and his way to his resurrection (freedom to live) prove Kermanshah’s conformity to Campbell’s model.
