These verbs hold a “reflexive meaning” when they become the predicate of some sentences and in some sentences, they hold a “passive meaning”. In the Turkish dictionaries and the spelling dictionaries that are published by the related institutions, it is not included any form of these verbs that are not dropped the medium syllable vowel such as “-ay r l”, “-deviril”.In these publications, there are some verbs whics are similar in the strucuture of sound, but are used by not dropping the medium syllable vowel such as “ge iril-, kemiril-, s mürül-…” do not have the form that are dropped medium vowel syllable. The numbers of these verbs that are not dropped the medium vowel syllable are 46. From the meanings of explanations in the dictionaries, it can be understood that all of them are the passive voice and they can only be used in that meaning.9 verbs that are drop the medium syllable vowel we stated above, bring out some complications and inconsistency about in which usage it is “passive verb” and in which usage it is “reflexive verb”. This situation is based on the ability between the reader-listener and the constructor of the sentence. In order not to ocur this complications and inconsistency, like the other list of 46 verbs, the spelling dictionaries should be included these forms of 9 verbs which are not dropped the medium syllable vowel and the meanings in the dictionaries should be explained according to the “active voice verbs”.
