Effective Use of an Inadvertently Placed Interpleural Catheter for Post Operative Pain Relief

This case describes an unintentional interpleural placement of an attempted thoracic epidural catheter for a subtotal oesophagectomy. The interpleural catheter was left in situ and effectively used for post operative pain relief.
