Abstract:

In this research, self-efficacy of preservice class teachers to educational internet usage has been investigated. Research was made on 183 preservice teachers who study Primary School Teaching in Faculty of Education in F rat University. In the research, self-efficacy scale of educational internet usage has been used as data collection tool. In the conclusion of the research, independent samples t test, Mann Whitney U test and one-way analysis of variance were used. According to the research findings, there is no significant difference among the self-efficacy perceptions of preservice class teachers to educational internet usage in terms of sex or having a personal computer. Besides this, among the perceptions of self-efficacy of preservice class teachers, it has been found that there is a significant difference according to the type of education, the classroom, the duration of internet usage and the place in which they enter the internet. Under the research, it has also been observed that the selfefficacy perception to the usage of internet for learning increases accordingly with the level of education. In order for teachers to use technology efficiently, it is suggested that courses which are based on technology and knowledge to be reorganized and a practical understanding of education which will provide teachers use technology in teaching be formed. Besides, reformation of the technological basis in the institutions which raise teachers is thought to provide preservice teachers to get a positive attitude towards technology and help their computer and internet skills improve.
