Abstract:

In intensive care units, which are defined as centers where many life saving instruments are used most frequently, many invasive treatment interventions are applied to patients without their consent. These interventions also affect the physiological and psychological recuperation progress adversely. It is only possible for patients in intensive care units to be unaffected or minimally affected by these poor conditions by individualized nursing care. In this direction, nurses working in the intensive care units should diagnose the problems of patients in their care, rapidly define care objectives, plan nursing interventions and put them to work and evaluate the outcomes of their applications well. It is believed that this article would be a guide for nurses working in the intensive care unit environment.
