As narrativas de viagem dos seiscentos: princípios, teoria e imaginário

During the 17th-century, a large number of Europeans traveled to the East. Among them,two groups can be distinguished: English and French. The texts produced from these travels, known astravel literature or récit de voyage, shared, beyond the subject, principles of textual organization. In thissense, I seek to discuss the fundamentals of such narratives, as well as the possible relations between thesenarratives, Fiction and History, and the space of imaginative creation about the seraglio.
