Macrofungi from Tinovul de la Romane ti” peat bog (Dornelor Depression, Romania)

Tinovul de la Romane ti” is a forested peat bog, with an area of 20 ha, located in DornelorDepression (Eastern Carpathians) within the limits of Co na commune, Suceava County, Romania. Themycological observations carried out in the vegetal associations Sphagno-Piceetum and Vaccinio–Pinetumsylvestris, in this peat bog, have emphasized the occurrence of 50 macrofungi species. For each vegetalassociation, the macrofungi diversity was analyzed, and the obtained results emphasized the presence ofa high number of ectomycorrhizal and lignicolous saprophytic species. The characteristic macrofungi forforested peat bogs, identified in Tinovul de la Romane ti”, are represented by the ectomycorrhizalspecies (associated with spruce, pine and birch) and bryophilous species (associated with peat moss).
