Memetics of representation Memetica della rappresentazione

This article will discuss about the physiological genesis of representation and then it will illustrate the developments, especially in evolutionary perspective, and it will show how these are mainly a result of accidental circumstances, rather than of deliberate intention of improvement. In particular, it will be argue that the representation has behaved like a meme that has arrived to its own progressive evolution coming into symbiosis with the different cultures in which it has spread, and using in this activity human work “unconsciously”. Finally it will be shown how in this action the geometry is an element key, linked to representation both to construct images using graphics operations and to erect buildings using concrete operations. In questo articolo analizzerò la genesi fisiologica della rappresentazione per poi illustrarne gli sviluppi, soprattutto in un’ottica evoluzionistica, e mostrerò come questi siano prevalente esito di circostanze accidentali, piuttosto che di deliberate volontà di perfezionamento. In particolare sosterrò che la rappresentazione si è comportata come un meme e che è pervenuta alla propria progressiva evoluzione entrando in simbiosi con le diverse culture in cui si è diffusa e servendosi, “inconsapevolmente”, in tale attività, dell’opera umana. Mostrerò quindi come in questa operazione la geometria sia un elemento chiave, legata alla rappresentazione sia nel costruire immagini tramite operazioni grafiche sia nel costruire edifici tramite operazioni concrete.
