Educa o, regula o e políticas educacionais: o contexto paulista

Abstract:

The regulation processes in education have been of great relevance in the context of the educational debate. In this text is discussed this process in the S o Paulo State educational context, having the 'S o Paulo faz Escola Program' and its curricular reform proposal as a major reference. Implemented since 2007 within José Serra's government, this program has been characterized by a series of action with significant consequences for the work of the education professionals from S o Paulo State. Our aim in this paper is to present briefly the context that has permeated the education policy in S o Paulo, the foundations of the 'S o Paulo faz Escola Program' and, based on researches carried out within the research group in Educational Policy and Management, the initial impacts produced by these policies in the context of its implementation.
