O papel da escola na promo o da saúde - uma media o necessária

In this paper are presented some points for reflection about the role of school in promotion of health. Assuming that a teacher education program which includes health as one of the relevant themes of study permits allows, not only the improvement of the health conditions of the school community in general, but also a better teaching-learning process, this paper questions the very process of teacher education towards the perspective discussed. The search for the improvement of quality of life conditions in the contemporary society conceives the role of education as crucial to this endeavor and, consequently, the coherent and well-grounded attitudes of teachers are a path to be structured in the search for an educational process as a whole. In this sense, this article suggests relevant resizing of actions in teaching, based on aspects related to some important elements.
