About Solar Refrigeration

This paper has the purpose to unfold the results of all researches which proved before that the solar energy constitutes itself as an ideal resource for heating application that necessitate lower temperature,e.g. the heating of a certain space or the preparation ofthe domestic hot water. The refrigeration systems, which are based on the nontoxic refrigerants for the environment, offer a sustained advantage when compared to the other types of the refrigerants. But, whichever might be the case, the use of the energy associated to the operation of the refrigeration system and with the impact that it has upon the environment, as well as the association with its production and distribution, have often a bigger importance than the selection of the refrigerant. In order to minimize the impact which the operation of the refrigeration systems exerts upon the environment, it is recommended that there should be checked all thepossibilities of using a pure source of energy.
