Atatürk University, Faculty of Letters, Department of Information Management: Foundation Phase and The Current Status Atatürk üniversitesi Edebiyat Fakültesi Bilgi ve Belge Y netimi B lümü: Kurulu A amas ve Bugünkü Durumu

This study gives an overview about The Information Management Department (IMD), following a brief information on Atatürk University, Faculty of Letters, to which the Department is affiliated, and on the University’s Central Library. The initial stages of the formation of the Department, right from the beginning initiavites until its establishment, including the formal initiavites of the University and the Faculty regarding this issue, is addressed in a descriptive manner.
